Jenni Light
Brand Manager, Cartoon Network
Jenni Light's path to user research has taken a long and winding road. Starting her career in NYC as a toy designer over ten years ago, she realized that to create the best toys, she needed to understand why it is needed, how it is valuable and how it is meaningful. Through projects with Martha Stewart Kids, Fisher Price and The BBC series Planet Earth, Jenni began researching everything she could, all the time. This need to understand led her to go back to school and receive her MFA from SCAD in Design Management (Project Management and Ethnographic Research) Allowing her to move fully into user research, consumer insights and strategy. Her love of research comes from her love of sharing stories and understanding what makes people tick. Fundamentals of user research will be a crash course in listening, learning, synthesizing and making sense of the complexity of design.
