Jayshree serves as General Counsel at General Assembly, overseeing the legal and regulatory functions. She has over a decade of experience as a corporate and commercial attorney, with a focus on driving strategic global initiatives, executing against company goals and advancing best-in-class compliance and corporate governance practices. Prior to joining General Assembly, Jayshree served in various roles of increasing responsibility Shutterstock (NYSE: SSTK), a leading global creative platform offering full-service solutions, high-quality content, and tools, culminating as Deputy General Counsel. She also worked at the lifestyle company Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia as Assistant General Counsel. She began her career in private practice with Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP.
Jayshree has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College, and a Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law. Jayshree currently lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband.
