Principal, Jay Perry Works

Washington, D.C.

Jay Perry is a designer, illustrator, and writer living near Baltimore. Originally from the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia, he left the familiar hollers and hay fields there to attend the University of Maryland, Baltimore County’s Visual Arts program. He quickly fell in love with the tree-lined sidewalks, stoops, diners, and music he found around the city. He’s been there ever since, working in the design industry in various roles.

Web and interactive design became a speciality, and Jay is fascinated with every part of the process, from content modeling to UX to visual design to front-end development. Currently a freelancer, he’s lead the development of digital products, branding systems, publication designs, and more for clients including the World Bank Group, the United Nations, UNICEF, the Center for Disease Control, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Defenders of Wildlife, Discovery Communications, and Penn State University.

When he’s not staring at pixels and code, Jay loves to draw and has an active painting and illustration practice. Some of his recent work can be found at his personal website and his Etsy shop.
