Janet's career is a classic example of a circular path. She spent fifteen years in the tech industry focusing on B2B edtech and interactive learning before taking a 10-year "sabbatical" in the wine industry to work on D2C marketing, social media, and ecommerce endeavors. While taking front end design classes at Code Berkeley, Janet became aware that not everyone was getting equal access to tech opportunities. That experience inspired her to return to edtech, first doing community outreach and recruiting for Code Berkeley, then as Head of Channel Partners and Recruitment for a tech sales bootcamp before becoming the Founder/Chief Storyteller for Harness_U, an edtech startup that provides the social and collaborative skills training needed to maneuver in a rapidly changing tech world.
