A relatively unknown entity of little distinction, Jamison Hackelman has had firsthand experience in the current startup scene with varying degrees of success. Without a book to his name, he's simply gone from jobless transplant to unpaid intern and stood witness to the slow, yet surprisingly brash missteps of startups in their first months. As Editor-in-Chief at spoiled NYC, a flourishing voice in the new world of digital media, Jamison has a surprisingly comprehensive understanding of post-graduate struggles, shortcomings, failures, and, God willing, triumphs. Jamison earned his BA in English at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Before actually finding suitable work pertaining to his degree, he stared down rejection from various MFA programs the best way humanly possible: going from busboy to bartender and delivering world-class service from behind the bar at an upper-casual Wolfgang Puck concept.
