Jamie is the face and force behind Magpie Alchemy, makers of natural and holistic personal care products. She’s continuing the tradition of her ancestors, helping and healing others, while successfully navigating the challenges motherhood and running a business in a hectic, modern world.

When her daughter, Maggie, (who she lovingly refers to as Magpie,) was born and because Jamie was battling a chronic illness of her own, she felt an urgent need to take better care of her mind, body, and spirit. She took more control of her family’s health by limiting their exposure to the chemicals and artificial ingredients found in every-day products. Through a lot of research, experimentation and by channeling her ancestors, she began making her own, all-natural, botanical-based products. She also began working to change the conversation around motherhood and self-care, especially as it relates to the workplace through education and advocacy.

As word spread about Jamie’s amazing products, requests for them grew and Magpie Alchemy was born as a part-time, online business. After a year, it became clear that helping others by using her gift for creating all-natural, botanical-based products was her true calling. Jamie has been operating Magpie Alchemy full-time since January 2019, and has opened her first retail store in August 2019 in Sacramento.
