James Hedges, PhD, is a Senior Data Scientist whose mission in life is to extract actionable insights from messy datasets. He believes that the best decision-making is data-driven and that the path to success is paved in predictive models. James has worked at the New York Technology Development Center at T. Rowe Price on the development of persona models to facilitate personalized marketing at scale. As an R programmer, James has spent a good portion of his life living in the Hadleyverse, but appreciates all technologies in the data science space. He has recently served as a guest lecturer in the Applied Analytics program at Columbia University and commutes to Gramercy Park from Williamsburg, Brooklyn by ferry. James holds a PhD in Neural Science from New York University where he studied Bayesian inference models of perceptual ambiguity in the Laboratory for Computational Vision.
