Jake Levitas is a designer and organizer focused on making cities work better for people. He is Co-Founder of the nonprofit Our City which brings people together to make things that improve cities. He is also Designer and Strategist at lowercase productions, where he applies his background in civic work to create beautiful, innovative, and effective experiences for mission-driven organizations and the people they serve. His design work focuses on how information and design can serve as empowerment tools. He previously designed maps and analyzed data in the Planning Group at Arup, translating complex information into intuitive graphics and insights. Since then, he's been laying out, editing, and designing pages, documents, websites, and graphics for nearly a decade in a variety of roles and positions. He has previously served in the San Francisco Mayor’s Office of Civic Innovation and as Research Director for Gray Area.
