Jackie Gabela is a Technical Director in the Bureau of International Information Programs at the U.S. Department of State. She is responsible for directing live, interactive events on behalf of the State Department in an effort to advance U.S. foreign policy objectives. These programs are talkshow style and touch on a range of topics from entrepreneurship and STEM research to studying in the USA and women's rights. Her main role is to lead the technical aspects of each program by building graphics, managing a crew and live directing. Her team is also leading an effort to help update connective technologies at U.S. missions abroad by consulting on best equipment to purchase or platforms to use in order to host live, virtual events around the world.
