Atlanta
Jacob Lockard, designer and illustrator, has been working in UI for over 7 years. While studying at the Maryland Institute College of Art, he cut his teeth at Mission, a small design shop in Baltimore, where he worked on a diverse array of print and web projects for local and national brands. Jacob also established himself as a member of the Baltimore arts community, partnering with other local artists on design projects and facilitating local arts events like "Drawnk," which encouraged artists to get together, draw and network with each other over a drink.
Jacob eventually made his way to Washington DC, where he took a job at a digital agency and developed his knowledge base in the design, production and development of mobile and tablet applications. Infected by the start-up bug, Jacob has contributed his talents to several small design and technology start-ups in DC and Atlanta. Jacob is now an Art Director at AKQA Atlanta, producing industry-leading work for brands like Universal Studios, Activision and Delta Air Lines with a team of talented folks. He is dedicated to creating satisfying user experiences that are both intuitive and visually stunning.
