Hunter is a Lead Instructor with a passion for helping students to realize their full potential. He made the transition into tech from a career in the culinary field as a chef. Hunter also works full-time as a React Native Engineer building mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms. As a graduate of General Assembly’s Software Engineering Immersive Program and a software engineer from a non-traditional background, he has a good understanding of how to help students address the challenges they may face during their journey. When he isn’t teaching or building software, Hunter loves to go skiing, camping and off-roading in the Rocky Mountains with his partner.
Student Feedback:
"Hunter set a tone in our first meeting that has led to my very high regard for this course. He is someone who went through GA, as a career changer, and he is someone who made a successful career for himself. I think he's only a year older than me, so his presence and feedback are truly sources of inspiration."
"Hunter is great, he doesn't fly through lessons. I appreciate the faith he keeps in us even though we look at him like he just spoke a foreign language unknown to man. He moves at a good pace for us."
