Hillary Garris is currently an Interim Manager and Consultant to venture capital and angel-funded technology companies with a focus on content and commerce. Her areas of expertise include capital raising, market and strategic research, and organizational development. Hillary began her career researching and investing in technology and energy companies at ING, Oaktree Capital, and Oppenheimer & Co. She helped pilot, instruct, and develop General Assembly’s Business Fundamentals and Tactics course in partnership with McKinsey & Co., the course was recently profiled in the Wall Street Journal. Hillary has also taught Personal Leadership and Success to non-profits with Professor Hitendra Wadhwa at Columbia Business School, the program is one of the top 10 most popular electives at Columbia Business School and has been covered by Fortune magazine. Hillary has an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS from Lehigh University.
