Hilding is a serial entrepreneur, angel investor, and expert on the changing U.S. and global consumer.
He is an executive board member at K-Street Capital, an angel investing group based out of Washington, DC. He is part of the selection committee (which vets and selects startups), and is a voting member for investments. Since 2012, K-Street Capital has built a portfolio of 14 companies, seen a significant portfolio IRR, and achieved a 5x exit. Several of the portfolio companies are in the process of closing their Series A.
Most recently, he directs global thought leadership and studies technology trends for SapientNitro, an advertising agency and technology consulting firm for Fortune 500 clients with 13,000 global employees.
He is the editor-in-chief of three books on emerging technology, marketing trends and the changing consumer. In 2014, he founded and was named Director of the SapientNitro Research Institute. Its recent research includes digital omnichannel retail, the future of the bank branch, ambient computing, marketing implications of the IoT and a wide variety of other topics. He is an expert in the new global shopper and consumer.
Hilding graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with an MBA in Management specializing in entrepreneurial growth, and from Vassar College with a Political Science / Astrophysics degree.
