Growing up in Colorado, Heidi spent most of her time skiing; now, as a Sr. User Experience Designer at EffectiveUI in Denver and an extremely passionate weekend warrior to the mountains—she spends most of her time working on UX Design and skiing (and other outdoor activities). Heidi grew up ski racing in Steamboat and studied Art and Art History at CU Boulder, where she was a member of the Division I Alpine Ski Team. Out of college, Heidi’s first job was working at an art gallery in Santa Fe, but she quickly realized that the traditional art world was not for her, so she headed back to Colorado to attend BDW (now known as IXDMA), where she received a certificate in technology design. Heidi began working as an intern at EffectiveUI during her time at BDW and has worked at EffectiveUI since. At E ectiveUI, Heidi engages clients and leads interdisciplinary teams of technologists and designers to solve complex problems with simple, intuitive solutions. In the mountains, she looks forward to epic powder days and some backcountry hut trips.
