Prior to her career as a data scientist, Hannah was working within a strategy role at a leading UK charity. She would often get frustrated when she was faced with a complex problem but was unable to get hold of the data necessary to solve it; or with an inefficient process that could be automated but was unable to build software to do this. This is when Hannah started to teach herself Python and discovered that the field of data science could help her to gain the insights she’d been looking for.

Hannah enrolled on the Data Science Immersive course at General Assembly in 2017 and spent the next 2 years working with a fast-growing machine learning start up. Hannah now works at Monzo Bank where she’s using her data science skills to help teams to make better decisions, faster.

Hannah gained valuable skills studying at GA that helped her to build a successful career in data science. She loves that as an Instructor she’s still a part of the GA community and she is passionate about helping others to get into the field.
