Gordon was born and raised in Scotland and started his career in management consulting before moving to retail where he tried (and failed) to launch his own multi-retailer payments start-up called SmartChange.

Since moving to Australia, Gordon has spent most of his days and many of his nights working to improve the way Australians receive financial advice. He is a qualified Financial Planner with a postgraduate qualification in Information Technology and a passion for helping customers improve their wellbeing through good and accessible financial advice.

Since joining ANZ’s Innovation team Gordon has beta-launched ANZ’s IBM Watson solution direct to customers and rolled out the first phase of Grow for Advice to ANZ Financial Planners. He is currently building the second phase of Grow for Advice, a staff assisted advice solution that will transform the way that customers protect and grow their wealth.

Gordon works flexibly at ANZ so that he can raise his young son and younger labrador. Any time left is usually spent playing (badly), watching (happily) and administering (poorly) his main passion in life… tennis.
