Gina Helfrich, PhD

Gina is co-founder of recruitHER, a women-owned recruiting firm that connects technology companies with diverse, qualified candidates. Gina is the former Director of the Harvard College Women’s Center at Harvard University and earned her doctorate in philosophy and women's studies from Emory University. She has been actively involved in promoting diversity and inclusion for over 12 years. In 2014, Gina relocated to Austin to join the enterprise technology sector as a business analyst at a SaaS start-up, where she gained an inside look at the experience of women in tech. She is also founder of Feminist Hack ATX, a community organization for people of all genders to work together towards a more women-friendly technology scene in Austin.
