Giles Pavey is a leading independent Big Data specialist. Previously, as Chief Data Scientist at dunnhumby, he lead their global science team, covering work on price & promotions, personal recommendation, simulation, prediction and analytical computer sciences. Giles worked at dunnhumby since 1998 when he joined to lead the analysis that dunnhumby was supplying to Tesco. He had a number of roles across dunnhumby, working with retailers and suppliers on 5 continents. Additionally, Giles is Honorary Professor Computer Science at University College London.
