Germayne Ng

Germayne is a head of data in GoTo Group: Gojek. He is responsible for managing the maps data team, comprising of data analysts and data scientists. He leads the data team along with the engineering team in building real-time data-driven, machine-learning-based production systems to provide accessible and optimal experiences to millions of drivers and customers across multiple countries and cities where GoTo operates. He also engages in various speaking opportunities: presenting on work done by the data science team during company town halls, conferences and webinars. Outside of work, he gives career talks on the data science industry to tertiary institutions.

Before that, he worked in a start-up as a consultant where he solves data-science problems for leading pharmaceutical companies. He also has a background in Mathematics, Economics, and Computer Science, where his alma mater is Nanyang Technological University & Georgia Institute of Technology.

In his free time, Germayne enjoys competing in Kaggle, deciphering new academic papers as well as tinkering with new technologies in machine learning.
