After completing a degree in Electrical Engineering, I worked helping companies design test plans for their electronic hardware systems, and teach users how to drive electronic test equipment. My wife and I opted for a change of pace and opted to move to Seattle (from Dallas) to reboot our careers. I built my career change around General Assembly's Data Science Immersive course, where I learned the basics of Data Science and built projects I am proud of. Though teaching is not my day job, my "retirement" plan has always been to become a teacher, which is why I am excited to be here today!
