Hong Kong
Florent Sollier is co-founder of Food Savior, a social enterprise which uses tech to connect consumers with restaurants offering last minute deals and special offers in a bid to reduce food waste in Hong Kong.
Essentially a digital version of the discount corner, it updates in real time to show customers all the surplus food restaurants have available at a discount across the city. The aim is to reduce waste but with benefits for all parties.
Food Savior capitalises on Hong Kong's obsessions with smartphones, food, and bargains, as well as a growing interest in ensuring a cleaner, greener city.
Florent grew up in France but has lived across Europe and Asia. He has a background in financial services, economics, and programming. He is also co-founder of lifestyle site My Little Shop of Treasures.
