Eron Salling

Instructor, General Assembly

Boston

Eron Salling (nonbinary he/him) has lived in the Boston area since 2012 when he started at Emerson College. Coming from a theatre background, he initially went into film production, but found himself drawn to the DIY appeal of web development.

Finding a fit at the Engagement Lab, Eron built various games and interactive experiences to help solve social problems. After receiving his BA in 2016 he went on to get my Masters in Civic Media, Art, and Practice in 2017. Some of Eron's favorite development projects have been a Tinder-style recycling game, a video database platform for natural history studies, and an escape-the-room game using Slack-based chatbots.

In his free time, Eron enjoys reading and watching TV, playing video games, seeing live music or theatre performances, and hanging out with his friends and Oliver, his cat. Eron is also very passionate about immigrant, indigenous, POC, LGBTQ, and women’s rights as well as environmental issues.
