    Erin Jerri Malonzo Pañgilinan is a stealth tech startup founder, early-stage tech startup advisor, software engineer and computational designer, and internationally acclaimed author. She is also a lifelong artist, community activist, and prolific writer. Erin is a proud Silicon Valley native-born and raised and UC Berkeley alumnus. She is lead co-editor and contributor of the O’Reilly Media collective anthology, Creating Augmented + Virtual Realities (AR+VR): Theory and Practice for Next-Generation Spatial Computing, which ranked #2 for Top 10 VR Books to Read by Book Authority. The book will be translated into Chinese, Korean, and Japanese in 2020 and is circulating in almost two dozen countries. Her chapter covers data and machine learning visualization design and development in XR. In 2017-2018, Erin was selected as a Diversity Fellow at USF Data Institute Deep Learning Program. In her early career, Erin served as official campaign staff for Obama for America and Ro Khanna for Congress (now Congressional member serving District 17, her own backyard) and was an award-winning journalist of over 7 years.
