Emily is the Director Emerging Technology & Innovation at Education First. She is also a Co-Founder of Brave Initiatives, an organization which helps girls build confidence in coding, design, and leadership for social impact. Emily received her Ph.D. in Technology and Social Behavior at Northwestern University where she developed and researched online tools to improve motivation, collaboration, and self-efficacy.
Emily has industry experience working at Walt Disney Imagineering in the Disney Research behavioral sciences team and as a UX research intern at Facebook. She has worked in the nonprofit sectors as an intern at Citizen Schools, helping support STEM learning, and AccionEmprendora, helping to empower female microentrepreneurs. She also co-founded Youth Lead the Change, a global youth leadership organization that empowers youth to reach their full potential as leaders.
Emily received her B.A. in Social Anthropology and Psychology from Harvard University, where she played on the Varsity Women's Volleyball Team and was the Vice President of the Leadership Institute of Harvard College. In her free time she enjoys being with her family, traveling, photography, dinner parties, and spending time with others outside -- particularly hiking, skiing, running, biking, camping, and playing volleyball.

In this course, the learner will gain a hands-on introduction to data analytics and visualization using SQL and Tableau.
