Los Angeles
Elizabeth was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She grew up on the backlots of Hollywood's major studios. There her father taught her to be creative by letting her explore the art departments. She watched as artists, architects, and designers transformed the written into reality. In college, she studied Art History and began a lifelong passion of traveling the world and seeking out adventures. Her career in marketing came just after graduation, when working at the Santa Monica Museum of Art (soon to be the Institute of Contemporary Art Los Angeles.) For over a decade, she continued as marketing executive for several Southern California museums and arts initiatives, supporting the work of hundreds of artists.
For Elizabeth, brands are a reflection of people. So, when she decided to found her new company The Culture List—a discovery app for cultural experiences—she first asked, "Who am I building this for?" and "Why do they need it?" Just like people, brands have a personality and they should have a story to tell.
Elizabeth lives in Santa Monica with her fiancé Lucas and her cat Mister. She would also like to mention that talking about herself in the third person is very difficult and if it weren’t for periodic dance breaks, life would be much more stressful.
