Dylan O'Shea

Dylan is a West Coast native and web developer, specializing in Ruby on Rails applications with complex Javascript interactions. His first programming experience was as a statistical researcher at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, and he has since taught college-level Java and computational statistics.

After moving to New York, Dylan worked for Slader, an online educational startup based out of SoHo, focusing on improvements to its user experience and interface. He is a recent Ruby convert and appreciates the flexibility it provides in building web applications that integrate pixel-perfect design with powerful algorithms and seamless interfaces. Dylan has enjoyed TAing for General Assembly, and is looking forward to future sessions with students who share the same passion for coding.
