    Dr. William Acosta is an expert in Big Data and Distributed & Cloud Computing. He is currently the Data Science Manager and a Senior Architect at Dish Network. Concurrently with his role at Dish, he is also a Visiting Research Associate Professor at Bowling Green University under the Fulton Research Grant. He was the Lead Architect for Dish’s new Enterprise Cloud Software Initiative where he oversees the design and implementation of Dish’s new cloud-native, micro-services software architecture. His work also includes research and design for solving big data problems at Dish, including metrics, distributed tracing, and event correlation analytics in a large, multi-data center micro-services architecture as well as on fault-tolerance and data consistency for distributed in-memory caches under asynchronous and varied workloads.
