Dr. Kerrick returned to U of L as Department Chair/Faculty at U of L’s College of Education & Human Development 2019 -and was recently appointed by President Bendapaudi to be Executive Director of Digital Transformation in 2020 for the University of Louisville. Dr. Kerrick was previously the Dean of Bellarmine University’s AACSB accredited School of Business (2016-2019). Prior to that she was the Associate Director of the Forcht Entrepreneurship Center at the University of Louisville’s College of Business (2002-2016) teaching in the MBA, coaching business plan teams and founder of the Entrepreneurship Minor. She created the community program "VetStart" that helps military veterans start businesses and since 2012 over 100 military veterans have gone through the program. In 2015, she was named Small Business Administration (SBA) Military Veteran Business Advocate of the Year. Before her academic career, she was one of the founding members of a technology firm for 20 years that grew to employ over 300 full time staff in a 5 state region and provided technology training for between 11,000-13,000 students each year. She has founded 3 other businesses in her career as well. She is a past 40 Under 40 Business First recipient and was named to Business First’s 2017 Hall of Fame. Also in 2017, she was recipient of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Kentucky Hall of Fame award and in 2018 awarded the prestigious NAWBO EPIC award. Today’s Woman magazine named her 2018 "Most Admired Woman in Education" and in 2019 Business First named her one of five 2019 Enterprising Women recognition--as "Mentor of the Year". She is the chair for the Louisville Water Company Board of Directors, secretary for the NAWBO Foundation Board of Directors, member of the Junior Achievement Board of Directors and a Deacon at her church as well as secretary of the church Endowment Board. Dr. Kerrick is an accredited angel investor who has been quoted in Forbes and has rang the bell at NASDAQ stock exchange twice! In 2020, she has completed 9 Microsoft badges, 2 Google Analytics Certificates and 3 IBM badges.
