Senior Consultant Ear Nose Throat Surgeon, Lynne Lim Ear Nose Throat & Hearing Centre

    Singapore

Lynne Lim is a Ear Nose Throat (ENT) surgeon with over 20 years of clinical experience. She is a proud alumni of the Faculty of Medicine at National University of Singapore. Her subspecialty training was at Cincinnati Children Hospital and Research Foundation, USA. Other HMDP fellowship stints were in Japan, Virginia and California. To get a better understanding of the challenges in public health, and to better integrate the realms of research, education and clinical work, Lynne did her Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard School of Public Health. She has pioneered many new clinical programs, surgeries and public outreach initiatives, and has been active in competitive grant -funded research. Lynne founded the Master of Audiology Program at NUS, and was Vice Dean of Academic Affairs there before venturing into her private clinical practice in 2014. (www.drlynnelim.com).

Lynne is working on CLiKX, a handheld applicator that aims to insert a ear tube onto the ear drum to treat glue ears. Glue ears is the most common reason why children worldwide require surgery under general anesthesia (GA), and why they are prescribed antibiotics. Her team is thankful for the rock-solid support from SGI, and crazy-excited about CLiKX – CLiKX can potentially insert the tube with just a click of the finger, under one second, without GA nor expensive microscope, with less risk and cost. Millions more can be helped.
