    Dr. Aishwarya Bandla heads the Translational Core at The N.1 Institute for Health and is a Senior Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore (NUS). A multidisciplinary team of scientists and clinicians, her research group focuses on developing wearable bioengineering solutions for disease prevention in the oncology and neurology spectrum. Dr. Bandla holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from NUS, has published her research in international peer-reviewed journals and has won several research conference presentation awards. She represented NUS in the Global Young Scientist’s Summit 2018, a multi-disciplinary platform for conversations on science and research, technology innovation and society, and solutions to global challenges. Aishwarya was recently featured in the inaugural Singapore’s 100 Women in Tech list 2020, which celebrates women who have made significant contributions to tech in Singapore and for their ability to influence, inspire and impact on community and industry. She was also featured in GovInsider’s Global 50 women in Govtech story.

    Aishwarya, an IEEE senior member, chairs the Professional Activities Committee as part of the IEEE Singapore Section. IEEE is the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. She is also part of the executive committee of the IEEE Region 10 (Asia Pacific) Women in Engineering and the Engineering in Medicine and Biology chapter Singapore. As a circle leader in the Lean In Singapore community, Aishwarya is passionate about motivating professionals to "pay it forward" by mentoring peers and young people.
