Don is currently working on his Data Science PhD dissertation from UMass Boston while also running his own business (Data Driven Decision Advisors) as a data strategy and operations consultant. Previously a US Naval Submarine Officer, Don served 22 years in both the US Navy and Marine Corps before retiring from active duty in 2007. Don then joined EnerNOC, a cleantech energy services company based in Boston, where he led global teams implementing, delivering, and supporting EnerNOC’s suite of Energy Advisory Solutions. After being acquired by Enel-X North America in 2017, Don repositioned himself to help drive the successful integration of EnerNOC’s solutions into the full suite of Enel-X applications, working tirelessly as the Chief Data Scientist to help Enel take advantage of the their data science talent supporting sustainable and renewable energy solutions around the globe. When not playing around with data activities related to work, you can find Don and his wife Lorrie traveling to near and far-flung places, most recently hiking Mt. Kilimanjaro in late 2019 while also ticking off the 4,000 footers in New Hampshire.
