Desiree Garcia is a Senior Product Designer at Automattic, working on the future of WordPress. Her career has spanned a quirky range of problems, from increasing transparency in the federal government, to some of the first applications that enable people to create with artificial intelligence. She moonlights on the editorial team of A List Apart.
Prior to this role, she was at IBM Design, where she worked across the IBM Watson portfolio. She has spoken internationally about topics such as setting design precedent in AI, user experience and interaction design for machine learning applications, the relationships we create with technology, psychology, and career discernment.
