Derek Nelson is a partner at Clique Studios, a design and technology studio he helped start in college. Now a team of 40, the company offers strategy, design, development, and marketing for ambitious organizations. He has written for Entrepreneur Magazine, Smashing Magazine, Glassdoor, and more. Previously, he was a Field Organizer on the 2008 Obama campaign. As a musician, he releases albums solo and in a 7-piece collective called Martin Van Ruin. He’s a husband, dad, and Chicagoan.
