    Dax Moreno is a San Antonio native that has held leadership positions at tech organizations such as Rackspace, Peer 1 Hosting, Geekdom, and Tech Bloc. Mr. Moreno is currently the Chief Talent Officer of Tech Bloc, where he is working to recruit and develop tech talent to fuel the continued growth of San Antonio’s local tech ecosystem. Previously, Dax served as the Director of Programs and Ecosystem Development for Geekdom, a San Antonio-based coworking community, and launched economic development programs and also led various startup and entrepreneur programming. He co-founded the CivTechSA program in partnership with the City of San Antonio's Office of Innovation and also assisted in the development of the Geekdom Community Fund to provide initial seed funding to promising startups to accelerate the growth of San Antonio’s emerging downtown ecosystem.

    Dax is an active mentor for Geekdom, Tech Stars, and the Startup NEXT as well as numerous entrepreneurs and emerging leaders in his community. Dax serves as a board member for the Spurs Give foundation, Students + Startups, SA Works Industry Council, and is currently the board chair for the Promesa Academy Charter School serving the city’s Westside communities.
