David is a global leader in applying learning science and evidence-based design to technology-based products globally. He most recently served as Director of Learning Engineering at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, and before that was Director of Education at Alef Education in Abu Dhabi and Director of Learning Design for Pearson.
He has taught, consulted, or designed learning experiences across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, North America, and the Pacific. He has a Ph.D. in Learning Design and Technology from the University of Georgia, an MPhil in Oriental Studies from Cambridge University, and a BA in Near Eastern Studies from Brigham Young University.
