David is Director of Software Engineering at SMART Technologies and was part of the founding team that grew SMART’s interactive display and software business to 2.8M classrooms worldwide. His engineering experience focuses on real-time systems for synchronous learning in classrooms using public displays and student devices. He has led dev and test teams of up to 80 people, which includes starting and managing several offshore teams in Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe. He is excited to be building products that are making a difference for millions of teachers and students around the world, and enjoys engaging students in engineering hackathon events.
