Darric chanced upon software engineering at his first job out of college and found it fun. At the time, he was still unsure about the professional path he was on, having just transitioned to marketing from a Life Science degree.

He eventually took the leap of faith with General Assembly’s Software Engineering Immersive program, and he has not looked back since.

Now, his life is filled with software. At his day job, he builds a platform for monitoring construction site safety. In the evenings and over the weekends, he spends most of his free time learning about software, writing about software, or creating side projects with software to solve problems that him or his partner faces.
