Darren Griffin is a writer and creative strategist focused on connecting the global community through storytelling. Following a brief career in finance, he took to his lifelong passion as a journalist, working with several print and digital publications including Nike’s Jordan Brand, Complex, Nice Kicks, SLAM Magazine, and many others. He currently serves as the Senior Digital Content Marketing Writer at PLANOLY, where he helps ideate and execute the brand’s editorial output. He is originally from Houston, Texas, works passionately to uplift and highlight the African-American community, owns far too many sneakers, and believes that traveling is the cure to all things.
