Dan Seagren is a Full Stack software engineer with a background in physics and mechanical engineering. After graduating from Columbia University in New York City (class of 2014), Dan co-founded a startup, Summerboard, that designed, patented, and built electric skateboards that emulated snowboarding mechanics on the pavement. During this time he discovered a love for product design and was fascinated on how software combined with hardware to make truly groundbreaking products. He took a step back from his full time CTO position at Summerboard in 2019, he attended GA's Software Engineering Immersive program to hone his skills in pure software development. Since graduating in October 2019, Dan has been developing full stack web and mobile applications for startups in a variety of industries from Biotech to AI and Machine Learning.
Dan currently lives in Venice, CA, and in his free time enjoys playing basketball, snowboarding, and hanging out with his golden retriever, Remington
