Damian Ryland is an Art Director at DC Comics where he has designed hundreds of comic books and graphic novels including ABSOLUTE BATMAN: YEAR ONE, DC’s GOLDEN, SILVER and BRONZE AGE collections, the BATMAN: NOIR collections and the upcoming WATCHMEN ANNOTATED EDITION.
Damian actually got into design a bit late in the game, so his earlier life was spent mostly on the road, living day-to-day. Eventually, he was able to find various design, pre-press and odd jobs while attending the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, studying Communication Design. He was still at FIT in 2009 when he started working at DC in the Production Department, eventually working his way to Art Director.
