As a kid, Coleman never intended to do UX, probably because UX didn’t exist back then. He started his career as a software developer, moved on into education and instructional design, and somehow ended up as a UX practitioner in 2007.
Since the start of his UX career, he has been working on big, complex projects like large government websites, intranets, and university websites.
Even today, he runs a UX team in a bank, working on their most complex product – the corporate online banking platform.
Incidentally, the first few designers he hired in that team were all fresh graduates of General Assembly UXDI.
