As a data scientist at Pandora, Claire leverages content-based and feedback-based data to develop Pandora's music recommendation algorithms for both radio and on-demand applications. She holds a Ph.D. in Astronomy & Astrophysics from UC Santa Cruz, where she led a multi-year program to gather the world's most extensive and detailed kinematic dataset for an external galaxy, and used Bayesian techniques to model the high-dimensional system and infer its physical and chemical properties. She's deeply committed to improving science literacy through education work.
