Christine Friel is a licensed acupuncturist who specializes in women’s health, fertility, pregnancy and perimenopause. She earned her Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences, and was licensed by the state of California in 2003. Prior to starting her own practice, Christine interned at Shanghai University Hospital where her focus was on gynecology. In 2005, she founded Double Happiness Health, which includes a team of dedicated and talented acupuncturists and massage therapists serving the San Francisco Bay Area.

A Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive medicine since 2010, Christine is passionate about empowering women through an integrative and customized approach, and teaches patients to optimize their own health and fertility. Since each patient is different, she practices root cause medicine, rather than simply focusing on symptoms. Women are treated with comprehensive care that incorporates nutrition, lifestyle, and the ancient tools of acupuncture, moxibustion, and botanical medicine in order to reach their health goals.
