Chris is head of the growing design team at Avant, a fintech company headquartered in Chicago, where he leads all design and design research projects.

It was during his time designing financial education tools for a microfinance consultancy in China that he was first exposed to the design process, and its ability to solve problems beyond the aesthetic. After returning from China, he continued my study of design at General Assembly which led him first to a UX design position at Morningstar and to eventually heading up the design team at Avant.

Chris is interested in bringing the human-centered design process to industries not traditionally affiliated with design, and using data to inform and validate design decisions.
