I'm Chris Durbin. Over the past decade, I've had the privilege of building successful products across a multitude of industries and devices. I love challenging assumptions, shaping new behaviors, and changing markets. I am the head of ux design at Prime Gaming where we connect video game players & developers through meaningful Amazon Prime benefits, worldwide. Our portfolio includes all consumer products and services across Amazon.com, Twitch.tv, Prime Gaming (gaming.amazon.com), as well as the developer products in ordering and fulfillment.
Prior to Prime Gaming, I designed experiences for the Amazon Concept lab, an innovation team dedicated to the acceleration of big, bold ideas in retail. There, I used speculative design methods to explore contextual experience design, UX for VR, chatbots, ML UX, and became a patent holder.
I'm a passionate advocate for lifelong learning and have been part of the UX Book Club community since day 1 of my career. I've had the privilege of speaking with some of the most amazing practitioners & authors, such as Alan Cooper, Nir Eyal, Erika Hall, and founder of world iA day, Abby Covert, just to name a few. Reading is FUNdamental!
