At Lyda Law Firm, Chauncy counsels small businesses and start-ups and supervises complex commercial litigation. Prior to joining Lyda Law Firm, Chauncy operated a private practice where he represented businesses and individuals. Chauncy was also the director and supervising attorney at The National Disability Group, where he functioned as general counsel while managing budgets, vendors, and staff. His legal experience includes practice related to entity formation, employment agreements and employment law litigation, contracts, and bankruptcy. Chauncy's business experience includes working as a business and technology analyst. This unique mixture of business and legal experience makes him well-rounded and knowledgeable regarding many legal issues commonly faced by small to medium-sized businesses and entrepreneurs.
Chauncy is a world-traveler who played soccer professionally in Europe and has coached amateur teams all over the country, including KIPP Colorado Sunshine Peak Academy here in Denver. Chauncy was awarded Pro Bono Attorney of the Year, Legal Services of Northern Virginia, Alexandria Office, in 2009. He earned his J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law and his undergraduate degree from Washington & Lee University.
