Chantel Columna is the Co-Founder and General Manager of Novel Strand Brewing Company in Denver, CO. Raised in the Dominican Republic, Chantel moved to New York with her family as a teenager. She is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, with a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering. In September 2015, Chantel and her husband, Tamir Danon, moved from Queens to Denver in search of sunshine and nature - while immersing themselves in a large epicenter of craft brewing for further exposure to the industry. Her goal was to create a welcoming space for a diverse community, where people can gather, enjoy good beer, and create camaraderie in the community.

Chantel spent various years in the Construction Management Industry, before co-founding Novel Strand. She has kept this line of work while managing the brewery. Seizing an opportunity to further develop her construction industry knowledge, skills and leadership, Chantel accepted a position for a start-up in construction technologies called Riskcast Solutions in Customer Success and Implementation. When not in front of a computer or at the Taproom, Chantel enjoys hiking with her 3 dogs - Sambusak, Shoku and Ninkasi, and her husband - exploring all that Colorado has to offer.
