Cate Brinch

Owner, Recycle Studio

Boston

Cate was initially introduced to spinning while at Georgetown University in DC. It was an amazing way to get a solid sweat in a short amount of time. She eventually burnt out on it — the techno got old and basic climbs and sprints were boring. She moved to NYC after graduation in 2006 and discovered studio cycling. It introduced her to rhythmic riding and she was immediately hooked on the style. Cate moved to Boston for a new job in 2008 and tried to find classes that provided her with a similar experience. She took a lot of different rides around the city and around the country, but after many hours logged in the saddle, she knew exactly what the perfect ride was and what her perfect studio would be like. So in 2010 she decided to create it, the very first indoor cycling studio in Boston.

She lives in Back Bay with her Mohawked Ruby Cavalier, Charlie, and husband, Adam. When not running the studio Cate is sneaking off to Nantucket Island, taking Pilates megaformer classes, and working with other local business owners with the goal of promoting community, small businesses and maintaining the uniqueness of Boston, her hometown.
