Caroline Schiff

Marketing & Partnerships Manager, General Assembly

Chicago

Caroline is a community builder and people connector on a mission to help people discover and pursue their life's passions. Caroline’s career journey began as a Project Manager at a global advertising agency working on their largest account, Whirlpool Corporation. She later pivoted into a branding and marketing position as the first Marketing Director at J.W. Sales & Marketing, a natural, organic, and specialty food broker.

To find community outside of her day job, she enrolled in a 200-hour yoga teacher training, which completely altered her trajectory and led her to where she is today. She not only deepened her personal yoga and meditation practice, but discovered her passion for public speaking and teaching. Shortly after, she launched her first business - Caroline Rose Yoga & Meditation, and continues to facilitate meditation workshops for corporate clients and non-profit organizations around Chicago.

Today, Caroline leads the Chicago Marketing and Partnerships team at General Assembly, a global education company that provides dynamic training to close the skills gap. In an effort to drive local brand awareness and cultivate community, she spearheads the planning and execution of over 100 quarterly programs including community events, roundtable discussions, corporate trainings, and workshops. She has also built a portfolio of over 100 strategic partners from small tech startups to Fortune 500 companies and everything in between. She is most proud of the incredible community of women in technology and entrepreneurship she has cultivated through GA Chicago's monthly Women in Tech Breakfast series, which showcases and connects a diverse group of women in an effort to inspire, educate, and ultimately, accelerate the number of women in tech and leadership positions.

In her spare time, Caroline enjoys practicing yoga and meditation, traveling and exploring new cities and cultures, biking, and mentoring youth.
