Carly is an Instructional Associate (IA) for UXDI. Carly has been fascinated with technology and design since she first opened up Microsoft Paint at the age of ten. This fascination stuck and she eventually taught herself Photography, Photoshop, HTML, and CSS before ever entering high school. Her professional background is in ballet and she has performed with the Omaha Theatre Ballet, City Ballet of San Diego, and the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. Throughout her ballet career, she never forgot her love of the web and decided to pursue a new career in web design. Carly has completed courses at The Art Institute of San Diego for Graphic and Web Design and has also completed the User Experience Design Immersive at General Assembly in New York.
In the future, she hopes to marry her love of cultural arts, design, and technology to solve problems and create new opportunities. In her spare time, she enjoys stand up paddle boarding, exploring museums, and trying new vegetarian recipes.
In recognition of her exemplary service in the classroom, Carly has been selected as a member of General Assembly's Distinguished Faculty program.
